What is Guest Internet and how can Guest Internet products help to provide Internet access in a community?
Guest Internet is a company specialized in WiFi equipment since 2005 and its products are sold in 65+ countries.
The Internet controllers Guest Internet manufacture are installed in airports, government buildings, hotels, resorts, campgrounds, construction sites, trade shows, events, restaurant, libraries, boats and many other different types of businesses.
The Guest Internet controllers are needed in places where people want to share Internet access in a controlled way.
What do the Internet controllers of Guest Internet do?
What Guest Internet products do is to control and share the speed of the Internet with many people. But it does much more than that, it is an important management tool for businesses that want to share their Internet connection with others and avoid causing congestion with the Internet service.
Each Guest Internet controller has a software installed with hundreds of features to choose from to customize a WiFi service. You can choose how people will use the Internet connection, what speed they are allowed to use, period of time they are connected and if necessary websites can be blocked to keep the WiFi service family-friendly. This is a feature appreciated by some hotels, for example.
But, the reason why many people install Guest Internet controllers is because the controllers can be used to sell WiFi access to other people. People that are building a WiFi structure in a rural community or remote location benefit by using the Guest Internet controllers to sell WiFi access codes for cash or charge on-line with a credit card.
Guest Internet launches STAR kits to help people start a WiFi service and sell WiFi access
Guest Internet has prepared seven different kits to help people to provide an Internet WiFi service to others using a Starlink antenna or an Internet connection of similar performance.
It is recommended that you have a speed of 100Mb/s or more if you want to sell access to other people. If you have less than this, the WiFi service is not going to be great and people will complain about the service.
The Guest Internet STAR kits can help you give a WiFi service in a range of 100 meters to mobile devices or up to 1 kilometer to homes that have a STAR-4 kit installed.
How to choose the right STAR kits for a WiFi service?
The STAR kits are all pre-configured to be used together as explained in the installation documentation. The number of kits and which kits to use in a WiFi service will be determined based on the current Internet speed you have, the number of people that you want to connect and the distances you want to provide Internet access.
Each STAR kit plays an important part in the WiFi network design, called the infrastructure.
Introducing the Guest Internet STAR kits
Guest Internet STAR-1, STAR-2, STAR-6 and STAR-7
In each STAR kit there is an Internet controller and also antenna to be installed in the roof of a property. These kits have to be installed where the Starlink is located because the STAR kits will be connected to the Starlink router with cables. These kits manage and share the Internet coming from Starlink and then broadcast the managed WiFi signal using a powerful antenna. Each kit has a software installed which will control, monitor and manage the sales of the WiFi access vouchers. The WiFi Internet service can be accessed by mobile devices within a radius of 100m and also by homes that have a STAR-4 kit installed within a radius of 1Km.
The wireless connections are line of sight, any obstruction such as a building or tree will block the signal. Each kit also includes a free cloud account.
The difference between all these kits is the performance, some kits will allow more people to connect to the WiFi. Consult us to find our which kit is suitable for your WiFi service.
Guest Internet STAR-5

The GIS-K5 wireless units can be installed on each floor of the building for example. Print vouchers to sell Internet access to the residents. For large buildings several STAR-5 kits can be installed. Each kit also includes a free cloud account.
Guest Internet STAR-3
The STAR-3 kit is used to extend the Starlink connection to a location within a 1Km radius where the WiFi access will be provided to mobile devices and homes. The kit provides a point to point wireless connection and can also be used for two other types of network configuration.
Guest Internet STAR-4
The STAR-4 kit extends the WiFi signal to homes. The kit requires a STAR-1, STAR-2, STAR-6 or STAR-7 in your property because the STAR-4 communicates with the antenna on those kits.
The STAR-4 kit has products to install two homes, and what this kit do is to communicate back to the STAR kit at the Starlink antenna location. In this kit you will find a wireless client receiver to be installed on the roof of the house where you want to provide Internet access and a wireless router to be installed inside the home.
