NX-02: Internet Access Gateway for Managed Public WiFi Hotspots

Features and BenefitsThe NX-02 is a low-cost approach to providing managed Internet access for hospitality businesses. The product is also suitable for other installations that have to provide wired and wireless Internet access for the public. The NX-02 is a high performance gateway suitable for installation into the business network to partition public Internet VLANS. There is no limit to the numbers and types of devices that can be connected to the NX-02 via 10/100 Ethernet. Connect any wireless access point to provide WiFi Internet.

The NX-02 can have a library login page installed, or a completely custom login page can be developed using HTML and installed on the device. Login pages can be changed remotely. Login pages can also include banner advertising.

The NX-02 can provide free Internet access with a disclaimer. The disclaimer text was prepared according to US Federal law, however it can be edited to include local laws and restrictions. The NX-02 can also control Internet access: users have to type an access code into the login page to connect to the Internet. Access codes are generated with the server account. Scratch card and credit card billing can be deployed.

The NX-02 can be remotely configured using the server account.  Remote configuration includes installing a new login page.  Failure monitoring is also available for the NX-02. Alarms can be sent via email and SMS messages.  Comprehensive reporting includes usage and billing for devices and groups of devices.
