Internet Hotspot Installation Kit for Guest Houses

This kits provides all the equipment you will need to install a high performance Internet Hotspot for a small to medium size guest house.

The gateway should be connected to the Internet with a DSL or Cable circuit of 10Mb/s capacity

The only items that have to be provided in addition to this kit are the Cat-5/6 cable that are wired through the building to connect the wireless access points to the PoE switch.

The kit (KIT-MOT-050) contains the following items:

One GIS-R2 Internet gateway and 12 volt power supply (see the GIS-R4 product entry for more information)
Two 3ft Ethernet cables to connect the GIS-R4 to the DSL/Cable modem and to the PoE switch
One 4-port PoE switch, TP-LINK model TL-SF1008P, includes power supply (see information below)
Two high power wireless access points, type Engenius EAP-3660 (see information below)


TL-SF1008P - Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch

The TL-SF1008P 8-port 10/100M Desktop PoE Switch provides the seamless network connection. It integrates 100Mbps Fast Ethernet and 10Mbps Ethernet network capabilities.
4 of the 8 Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports (port-1 to port-4) of the switch support Power over Ethernet (PoE) function. These PoE ports can automatically detect and supply power with those IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs). In this situation, the electrical power is transmitted along with data in one single cable allowing you to expand your network where there are no power lines or outlets, where you wish to fix devices such as APs. TL-SF1008P is easy to install and use. It requires no configuration and installation.

EAP-3660 - Wireless High power Multi-function AP

The EAP-3660 is a smoke detector looking Wireless Access Point / Universal Repeater / WDS that operates seamlessly in the 2.4 GHz frequency spectrum supporting the 802.11b (2.4GHz, 11Mbps) and Super high speed of 802.11g (2.4GHz, 108Mbps) wireless standards. It's the best way to add wireless capability to your existing wired network, or to add bandwidth to your wireless installation. EAP-3660 features high transmitted output power and high receivable sensitivity along with antenna diversity. High output power and high sensitivity can extend range and coverage to reduce the roaming between Access Points to get a more stable wireless connection. It also reduces the expense of equipment in the same environment.
