Features and BenefitsThe HIS-W2 is a low-cost approach to providing managed Internet access for hospitality businesses. The product is also suitable for other installations that have to provide wireless Internet access for the public: for example a museum.

The HIS-W2 is a high power wireless unit suitable for indoor only installations. The wireless unit has a long range with good area of coverage. The omni-directional antenna covers an area of 360 degrees around the unit. A ceiling mounting kit is supplied.

The HIS-W2 can have a library login page installed, or a completely custom login page can be developed using HTML and installed on the device. Login pages can be changed remotely. Login pages can also include banner advertising.

The HIS-W2 can provide free Internet access with a disclaimer. The disclaimer text was prepared according to US Federal law, however it can be edited to include local laws and restrictions. The HIS-W2 can also control Internet access: users have to type an access code into the login page to connect to the Internet. Access codes are generated with the server account. Scratch card and credit card billing can be deployed.

The HIS-W2 can be remotely configured using the server account.  Remote configuration includes installing a new login page.  Failure monitoring is also available for the HIS-W2. Alarms can be sent via email and SMS messages.  Comprehensive reporting includes usage and billing for devices and groups of devices.
